If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.

No, but you do after 10,000 +1s. Steve is keeping track, I think.

It is often called 'Power Posting'. I am a member of one forum where a power post will be removed and a second post will be randomly removed by way of punishment.
People will feel strongly about something and want to agree, but lack the vocabulary or depth of knowledge to write something original. In a case like that "I agree with XXX" is acceptable, I think. But when a poster is known to be knowledgeable, intelligent and erudite, then it is a bit of an insult to the rest of us. If nothing else, because they think we don't notice!

Chas

+2 (!?) I can't process that! I don't think +2 counts as two +1s even though 1 + 1 = 2. I suppose that for the free kilt Steve will have to arbitrate that.

Chas, this is kinda how I was feeling...I spend lots of time here (more than anyone should) for the wealth of knowledge and humor that XMARKS tends to give. I think that most of us are somewhat forward thinking and it is kind of odd we can't think of something to say.

When you search and don't use enough characters the forum porompts you fro more characters. Why couldn't there be a minimum character count required before a post can appear (or at least count againt your post count)
