Your kilt looks great. Like the socks, too. What's the dog's name?
I hope your package arrives safely. We are having similar issues with our new mailman. It is very frustrating.
The Border Collie is called Izzy, short for Isabella.

Matt - Our receptionist said the mailman was reluctant to deliver the package. He left instructions for me to takes pictures of the box, carfefully slit open one end, and carefully remove and inspect the contents taking pictures of the entire process. Good advice for anyone who receives a package with visible damage.
Anyway, I could not be any happier with the kilt. It exceeds expectations, and I am sure I will enjoy it for many years. One question, though - would the hose tops be appropriate for formal evening attire?
KiltedCodeWarrior - It is a custom weave of the Harley-Davidson corporate tartan. I don't recall which mill it is from.

Truitt wonderful kilt, I am a hose topper fan and own several pair but really like the design and look. I can truly appreciate the angst with the box. I have a new kilt I have been jonesing over for months and the idea of another extended wait is nightmarish.
OH! and count me an Izzy fan too. The majority of the the pics I post include my dogs as well, our schnoodle is a real ham.

The cloth was woven by D. C. Dalgliesh.
As for the formality of those hose, I, personally, view them as more daywear attire, but others have worn similar for evening wear, so your mileage may vary. Given the color of those hose, I can easily see them worn with a black jacket, so you are probably safe. But the best option for evening events would be argyle or diced hose. Ooo... orange/black diced hose would go great with that kilt, or grey/black for a more subtle look.

Congrats on the new kilt and your dog is a wonder. Addressing the priority box mishap. I used to work at the USPS and held one position sorting priority packages. We had a huge machine that moved the packages from the input station to the appropriate sack. During this time of year, we were processing huge numbers of packages and everyone rotated on the crew pulling sacks and rehanging them. The bigger boxes would clog the bags and things backed up and occasionally, a box would get caught in the works and crunched. It didn't happen very often. The additional tape was probably applied to hold the box back together to complete its journey.
Glad the contents were okay. I believe the USPS will replace an item if it was harmed by their process if packed correctly. I do remember throwing a box into a container and it hit just right to crush one of several glass booze bottles in the box. Since they weren't supposed to be mailing alcohol anyway, I don't think they got anything back on that.
