Forgive a knee-jerk reaction, but ... excellent idea!

Good luck on your surgery. And, let us know how it comes out. A picture would be nice.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I would go with the Workman. Pockets are pretty handy.
    Good luck with your surgery.

I'd go with the USAK, for all the reasons other proponents have mentioned.

Good luck with the surgery. I wore my Sport Kilt Comfy Kilt most of the time I was in physical rehab last year after breaking my back. Wore a handmade black kilt home from the hospital...

I had a total knee replacement done in July and spent the summer in my PV kilts. I wore them to PT and usually had a pair on gym shorts on underneath for some of the PT workouts. I tried my heavier wool kilts, but with the swelling and the heat here in Co. they were too warm. My lighter weight kilts worked very well. I too just wore the darn knee out, especially when I was younger (just turned 61). I am now walking/hiking pain free for the first time in a while. Good luck with your knee and truly stick to what you physical therapist tells you. You learn to love them more than you hate them.

I think the kilt Liam Neeson wore should be appropriate for knee surgery ;-)

    (good luck)

    Home resting after knee surgery.
Got lots of compliments from the surgical team on the kilt - both for the design and for functionality after surgery.
Still not quite exactly sure what they did as far as repairs as the surgeon was with another patient and hadn't transcribed his notes for the post-op crew, but I am in less pain than I thought I would be. (Although typing on painkillers is a fun experience.)
Many thanks for the good wishes!
