When considering the kilt, you have to ask yourself, "what is expensive." Sure, 8 yards of quality tartan have a far higher price point than a pair of Dickies, but the you need to ask yourself: "would I rather be rocking a kilt, or just wearing cheap pants." If you want to wear what they wear at Taco Bell, then the choice is clear. However, if you're called to garb thyself in 16oz tartan awesomeness, then you'll understand the necessity of making whatever concession is required to facilitate such a dream. Some never make the choice. Some of us choose such multiple times. Consider this: that which you give up will add to the value of the kilt, once you've put it on.

    Best of luck,
    Brad
