shillelaghbruises... I think you may have hit the nail on the head! This is where the braveheart contingent is posting now anyway. The editorials and commentaries on kiltmen.com are terribly important and need to be preserved at all cost. IMHO

well all they would have to do is send people here from the forum link on kiltmen, it shouldn't be too hard to keep that whole site intact.

Nice idea. I don't see it being too hard, maybe just putting the link banner on the forum page?

My two pennuth
I agree with Graham, Al and it would appear the rest of you. I am extremely comfortable here, and as someone who is only 2 months in as it were I found some of the posts at Toms frankly (if I may call you frank) a little disturbing . I posted there twice I think and ended up with an array of emailed photos of various blokes in anything from denim minis to what looked like pleated Grandma frocks . The constant banging on about a cause and the angst of going out in public was bewildering, I was so new I didn't realise you had to be worried about wearing a kilt. This is much more like it, a glorious few who dare to don a kilt and go to enjoy a few beers without hiding behind politics, causes or anything else.
A toast gentlemen to Hank for this forum, to Grahm for our continuing spiritual guidance, to Hamish for our sartorial elegance and to us for being the few.
Cheers Rhino

I never went to tom's but from the looks of it, I'm glad I skipped it, I did like kiltmen.com though.

I like the merger idea also, that's if both owners agreed.
I would like to see this site have a front page like Bravehearts', with info, photos and the basic philosophy of why we wear kilts.
In fact, that is the only improvement I could suggest to this site.
Hank, where are you? wotcha fink??

Just to let you know, WDP put up a test post at the Bravehearts site, so maybe the suggestion should be posted there as well.
I would like to see both sites survive only because at one time Tom's Cafe was supposed to be the answer to our forum prayers. It takes so little time to check both sites why not have the option.
Just my two cents.
Slainte.

I tried to reply to the test, but it's not working, I emailed WDP about it.

I still send new and perspective kilties to kiltmen.com for information. I check WDP's board atleast once a day, before here. It's a shame that it's not working correctly. I hope, with our collective minds, that we can come up with a working resolution.
Cheers,
Allen
