Fringe on your apron or no fringe?

Yes, either a fringe or no fringe.

My current kilts have no fringe. My next one will.

I'm just starting out in all this, but my first kilt (by Keltoi) has a fringe. I tend to be a traditionalist, so it just seemed the thing to do.

Poll: Do you prefer a fringed apron or non-fringed apron on your kilt?
Hmm. Of the 10 wool kilts I have, five have fringe and five (from Matt Newsome) do not. So I guess I'll just have to answer "yes".

Before I locked on and started collecting Rocky's Casuals, where fringe is not an option, about 1/3 of my traditional kilts have fringe. It's either "a nice touch" or an unraveling apron look for me. Totally on the fence here - Mugwump.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

My civilian knife pleated kilt has a fringe, my military box pleated kilt is heavy weight and does not have a fringe. Both look very smart. I was told by a kiltmaker that box pleated kits traditionally have no fringe. I did not investigate her claim any further and will pass it on as such...

Fringe can look really snazzy or really shabby depending on the kilt.

Fringe for me. All my wool kilts have fringe except for my ex-MOD kilt.

Wow! I didn't realise that I was in such an extreme minority!

Why do some kilts have fringe and others don't? It seems that a lot of people prefer it over no fringe.
