Logos,
This is the keychain that comes on every Bear Kilt. (At the moment they are black.)

It is removable because I hate being forced to advertise for a company when I buy their product. It is so ingrained in our culture that people no longer question the logic of paying a company for the right to advertise for them.

Hey Bear I love the fact that the Kilts you make come with that Keychain and not a logo. You know as well as I do the advertising we do word of mouth for your product works pretty well.
Good work will sell itself for sure!

I generally agree with the no logo philosophy. It makes me feel like I am paying an extra $10-$50 (or more) for the marketing cost of the product. Never bought a "Polo" shirt, but will wear the one my ex bought because it's a nice shirt. Since there's no "marketing cachet" in kilts yet, I don't mind promoting sportkilts or USAkilts by displaying the logo. I can't wait to own the first kilt with a Nike "swoosh" or maybe the Fubu logo
I avoid corporate conformity. Displaying the sportkilt logo or USAkilt logo does not, so it's OK with me.
BTW, I love the question "where did you get your kilt?" "The internet, of course."
And you may ask yourself, Well how did I get here?

logos in school
For the guys that are still school goers what is your take on all this?
Well, although it is the logos are apparent, they are not overly popular. Of course I live way up here in north-eastern Ontario, so that may have something to do with it.
Here's a map:

(sorry for the long link)
On the other hand, maybe I've just become so used to seeing them I've become desensitized, and no longer notice them. Tomorrow I shall try to remember to keep my eyes peeled.
As for myself, I currently don't have any clothes that have any corporate logoson them. The only items that have logos on them on some dhirts from the summer drama program I'm in, the Deep Water Drama Troupe, and 1 from the Sears Drama festival last year. I did at one point go get clothing for the sole reason of it being a name brand, but that was when I was 9 or 10, and had just changed schools for the first time and was going throught the "trying to fit in" phase.
Before I go any further, let me first say that I'm not exactly small, if you get my meaning, which has diminished my selection of clothes. The mafority of my clothes now comes from Jericho, who carry a lot of different sizes. One of the reasons I like them is because they're cheap, at only about $16CAN apiece, which is really nice. Mine are all black, the same with my pants, but I do add some colour sometimes, and I've createe my own unique look because of it. Nowadays, I'm just an anti-conformist at heart I guess.
Aufwiedersehen,
Brodi
