I use Steve's method for hanging the kilt. After wearing, I hang the kilt on a ceiling hook I have in the bedroom (I've done this with my suits for years.) I'll usually let it air for two to four hours. When I put the kilt in the garmet bag, I have a hanger with a cedar block attached that I insert between the two kilt hangers. This puts cedar at the top near the opening (I also have a small block in the bottom of the bag), and helps give a little room for the kilt to breathe (at least that's my theory,....and I'm sticking to it.
