    Latest update:

I was really ticked off on Jan 1 so I sent an email to every address I could find and left (or tried to leave) a message on every phone number. To my amazement, the morning of Jan 2 I received an email from Ralph. He said he had my kilt and my mother's kilt on hand for "many months now" but there was a difference in addresses. ??? My mother and I have different last names, we each made a separate order, and, at that time, my mother had a separate address. (She has since moved in with me but her old address was still good at it is her sister's address. Besides, if there was a problem why didn't he use one of the many emails/phone calls to correct the situation?). He asked me to call him which, of course, I immediately did and, surprise, surprise, I actually got Ralph!!

Anyway, after giving me the above excuses and also telling me the person from whom we purchased the kilts didn't work for him he confirmed the address, said that the kilts would be put in the mail that afternoon and we should be receiving them within 3 or 4 days. I must be an eternal optimist because I actually, sort of, believe him. However, I am not making any reservations for any Burn's Dinners.

Rick, I hope you get your kilt within the next few days. I understand what you are going through. I ordered a kilt in late July from one of the advertisers here. At the time the website stated a wait of approximately 15 weeks as there were several kilts ahead of me. I am now into week 24 and still no kilt. I have e-mailed a couple of times and get vague replies but no kilt.

January 8, 2014, a day like all days, filled with those events which alter and illuminate our times! The kilts arrived! Belt is missing, shirt has sleeves too long but it was a throw away shirt anyway, and the kilt is slightly short but only by a small amount. Hose is not as far off white as I had hoped but I can buy hose locally so that is OK. I know, no pictures so they didn't arrive. I'm still working on how to get a picture online so that will have to come later. Phew! The wait is over. Next time I buy from reputable sources!!

You can always dye the hose for a few dollars... Glad you got your stuff!

As long as the kilt is ok ("slightly short" might still be the next ones "a bit too long") and you take the right conclusion.
I hope you'll get some joy out of it.
And I can asure you, January 8. is never a day like all days and the 2014 edition was a rather special one too.

As far as I know you have 180 days to withdraw a payment, paid with a credit card. This vendor just reached it, it seems and might have had that risk in mind when he sent you the not so perfect kilt and “forgot” to send some other items. If there are still some days left of the 180 you might still be able to have payment cancelled?
    Just a thought.
