I don't know... since we have lots of "matchy matchy" type people on Xmarks (I'll include myself in that group to a degree), I could see someone wanting a pair in tweed to match a tweed jacket / vest. Would it be 'traditional'? No, but I can see the appeal. At $500 (£300), I'd likely take a pass though. I could have another kilt or another jacket / vest for that price.
Maybe put masking tape over the tweedy bits and / or polish them VERY carefully. Agreed that it would be a challenge.
