Casey, glad to see you still have your sense of humour, that was actually a good joke!
Scottishkilts, thanks for that clarification.

In my quest for a different kilt pin I have noted that a number of the specialty pins, such as, the Masonic pin are the interesting ones. That is why I like the idea of our own pin.
I must say Doc, that I have liked all the versions of the Masonic pin. Some of them are very fancy and as can be seen from your photo, they give the kilt a outstanding look.
I have not noticed a pin for the Shriners. Is there one?

Well I have made contact with Billy and hopefully the X Marks pin design will be complete in the next few days. I dont know what the process is after that but we are well on our way! Thanks for everyones thoughts on the matter and the dedication you guys have to the board!
I will show you a final proof when it is finalized!
And dont forget! The brothers of the Craft here are great about encompassing us squares! OK ok. My pun is not as good as Casey's....

Yep! Only the best for me!
I stole the pic from a tile shop. The Scottish Lion tile is really neat too.

I know what you mean Graham. I like that one as well, and I believe it is a generic tartan.
I am still considering getting a Hunting Stewart Breacan from Kinloch Anderson, as a lighter weight kilt than my 15oz 8-yard kilt.

That is a good one! I wish I'd seen it before going to lodge tonight. I'd have shared it with the Bretheren.

MasonicScotland (who are actually Clansman Knitwear) need to purchase their material/kilts from http://www.masonicthemes.com before selling to the public so I'd expect Masonic Themes to be somewhat cheaper. The Grand Lodge of Scotland will soon be opening their own online store too, which will incorporate all the products from Masonic Themes, and more.
As much as I like the tartan (having seen it first hand) I cannot wear it - I'm not a mason and the masons may not look to fondly on non-masons wearing their tartan!
highlandtide, I'm back in the office now and will respond asap to any of your enquiries. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I checked out the http://www.masonicthemes.com site. Prices for the kilts seem to be listed at about $20.00 higher than the MasonicScotland site. Prices for other items seem to be identical. Masonic Themes claims that they offer discounts to "members." I registers so I guess I'll find out how much discount they offer.
BTW, I know a good way to remedy you not being a Mason. Just find a local Mason and ask him for a Membership Petition. As the slogan goes, MASONS 2B1ASK1[/b]
