yep, I think my next bear kilt will be maple leaf too.
4 yatd is nice n light for the summer. bear tells me the clan tartans are about twice as heavy as the Canadian ones.
Phil, I can confirm that. The Clan tartans are quite a bit thicker and heavier. The Canadian tartans are great for spring, summer, fall, and the Clan tartans are great year round (at least in BC).
I can get 15 yards of the Canadian tartans in the washing machine but only 8 yards of the clan tartans.

Phil, I'm glad you're as happy with your Bear Kilt as I am with mine and little Will's. Are all the clan tartans almost double the weight of the Canadian ones? My Graham of Menteith doesn't seem that much heavier than little Will's Cape Breton. I'll have to find my micrometer.

you will have to ask bear about that, as I have nothing to compare mine to, I am just going off what bear told me.
