I am ashamed to say that I have only today come across this thread - three months after Jamie showed us the superb results of Paul's talented endeavours.
Jamie, I am so utterly delighted that you are the first 'other' to wear my Hamish Bicknell (Personal) tartan, something you do supremely well (as all can see). The praise lavished here by X-Markers is well-deserved and my enthusiastic thanks go to Paul and to you.
As Jamie and Paul know, this special weave was planned for there to be sufficient for me to have another kilt for myself but not until I learned for certain what my surgeon intended doing with my waistline. I have recently been given his decision and will shortly be contacting Paul. The Kollection is sadly lacking a "Paul Henry" but that situation will be righted by my first kilt purchase/acquisition in four years.
Congratulations to Paul for all the hard work he so kindly undertook in sourcing the weaver, overseeing the operation and constructing such a beautiful garment for Jamie, and to Jamie himself for his enthusiasm.
Take care,
Ham.
