I wish I had the skill. Apparently she does it to supplement her pension and she lives on a houseboat. Sounds like a wonderful character.

Beautiful work - she has a lot of great stuff at her site besides your awesome sporran. Inspiring!

I would like her to do a custom belt when I can afford it and when my wife will let me. You do some nice stuff too, I'm sure she's given you a target to surpass.

I wish I had started with leather-work a lot earlier in life - It's gonna take a looooong time to develop the skills I see on display here every day. But yes, I have a lot to shoot for! I'm especially interested in the subtle coloring she is doing - my wife wants a leather purse with peacock theme but she doesn't want them painted outright - more of a tinting that suggests peacock colors while still obviously leather.

I have some photos I took of a peacock, shows some good detail if that'd be any help? I think most of us wish we'd done something different with the gift of hindsight.

Thank you but I have a ton of stuff here - she loves peacocks - everything she has is peacock related - hey maybe that's why she loves me? I have the design drawn but I'm practicing coloring on smaller pieces before I attempt to screw up a whole handbag. :-)

If you have the confidence to wear a kilt in public, you should have confidence that you'll make a great handbag for your wife. She will love it anyway because you made it. :-)
