    Hello Tigger

Welcome from the other side of the continent. Have you already decided on a tartan for your second kilt?

I'm going with Robertson Red Modern, for My first Kilt (My Clan and all). But since you brought it up, what is the best color for formal outfits Red or Hunting. I've seen both but was wondering what everyone else thought about it. Like I said I'm a Newbie, and I will be Purchasing a full Formal Outfit Verysoon.

    Thank you all

Generally speaking in highland wear the red is for formal dress and the green or hunting is for daily wear. Or in some cases the dress tartan is for formal wear.

The idea is that in daily wear you are wearing the color that blends into the bushes etc. and also that doesn't show dirt as readily, but for formal occasions you can dress more brightly.

However, in non-kilt wear darker colors are more appropriate for formal wear, so it may be appropriate in some cases to wear the darker color tartan for formal wear. Especially if you want to minimize how much you stand out from the pants wearing crowd.

Welcome, Tigger! The next thing you know you'll be looking at something you are about to purchase thinking "How many kilts could I buy instead!" It blind-sides you, and you're addicted! Have fun! You are going to love it here.

So Tigger, do you really have a tail made out of springs? And now that you're getting kilted will Pooh and Piglet follow suit? Welcome to the group.

Well as far as I know I do, at least from what the woman have told me that is lol. As for Pooh and Piglet, Piglet is to scared to try anything, and Pooh is just to Dumb to figure out how to wear it. lol
