Hello there. Love all the time line pics from the camp, almost like being there. I'll be starting myself a "Kilt Camp Fund" so I can get to one soon.

That Eternity tartan has really, I mean REALLY caught my attention. Any photos of the finished product?

Thanks for an excellent thread, made all the more interesting for photos of several people in the one place at Steve's shop, such as Sydnie, Barb and Bruce whom I have met individually at widely scattered locations.
Maybe some year my wife and I will combine a Kilt Kamp with a return visit to my relatives on Vancouver Island.

It truly was an honour to get to spend sveral days with some Xmarks friends. They were every bit as nice in real life as they are on the forum.

And indeed BB's Eternity tartan was the hit if the class. In real life it has much more interest than can bee seen in the photos. Can't wait to see the finished product @Benning Boy.

Well, Alex, Barb is talking already about Kilt Kamp 2015 in Upper New York, which means 2016 would be in Victoria again. That should give you enough time to start planning!

Couldn't agree more, great thread and my wife and I have relatives in Vancouver Island too. Would love to make it one year just for the experience. Probably need a further year to finish the kilt off at my sewing speed. My wife on the other hand, even with her arthritis, would probably manage several in the same time scale.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Everyone at camp commented favorably on Eternity tartan. Steve even remarked that he might have to make himself.
a kilt of it. It's a boogerr to sew. The thread I used is a dead-on match for the grey in the cloth and even with a magnifying glass I found it hard to see the stitches. It didn't help that my fingers lack the sensitivity they once had. I can't feel a needle and thread between my fingers unless ithey are moving.

I was the slowest stitcher in class, and have my piece only partially complete. Can you predict the day Hell Freezes over? That's likely the day I will finish my kilt, but I'll keep plugging away at it. When I get home I'll post a more detailed image of the tartan.

BBoy, Keep stitching! You can do it! And I definitely want to see photos. The tartan is great.
