    The new kilt...

... so following a previous thread, after looking around (and for convenience!) I stuck to my previous and went with Geoffrey Tailor. Picked the kilt up from them on my way through Edinburgh, and am v. pleased with it, as I was with my last kilt from them! Some pretty shoddy pictures when heading off to the pub.

The tartan is Black Stewart, pleated to the yellow stripe (can be seen in the last picture).

Black Stewart--always one of my favorites. I really like it pleated to the yellow like you have. Looking good!

You are one brave man, to wear your new kilt to the pub.
Took me some time until I could do that with my most treasured (and expensive) kilt.

The kilt is new, but I am not new to the kilt! I practically lived in kilts at university, which was over a decade ago (how time flies...), and have continued since then.

Very nice-looking kilt! Great tartan and pleating. And you wear it well. I like it with or without the sweater.

I practically lived in a stupor at university, which was about 5 decades ago (how time flies).
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Very nice pictures: a beautiful kilt worn as it should (in length and combined with the right hose). This casual look is well succeeded.

Not that I needed an outside reason to order my own new kilt, but I'm waiting on the delivery of a "Confederate Memorial" tartan offered by Atlanta Kilts of Suwanee Georgia. I'll be wearing it mostly while I'm at the University of Mississippi during home football (the made up American sport) games. My wife works at the Alumni Association office and I work (we offer photos and conversation) with the owner of a fine 1930 Model A Ford sport coupe. Attachment 21120
