I'm definitely interested, though there's no way to know at this point if I could make it. Will keep an eye out for details.

I am also definitely interested. Like chasem, I have no way of knowing if I can make it at this time. Will mark my calendar and watch for details.

I am in the same boat with chasem and Stitchwiz. Nonetheless, I suppose I had better buy Barb's highly recommended book and get my daughter to provide me with a block of sewing machine instruction to prep myself just in case.

You can skip the sewing machine instructions if you're planning to make a trad kllt! A trad kilt is hand stitched. If you're going to work with Steve on a contemporary kilt, though, you'll use a sewing machine.

Thanks! I am learning already. I much prefer the traditional kilt, but I am interested in contemporary kilts as well.

Actually, Barb...a contemporary kilt can be hand-stitched.

But all the ones he's worked on with people at KK have been machine-stitched, as far as I know, right?

Like my compatriots of this year, I'd love to be there! Like Okiwan, I'll have to see if I can collect enough beer cans to make the trip, and get permission from my family. So chalk me up as a maybe. I might still be working on this year' project.

I am interested in returning. I would be doing Barb's traditional for a refresher and maybe concentrating on box pleats this time.
