    @Benning Boy - in my case I already had a kilt jacket that I brought along to the tailor and left with him while he converted the Saxon one. In my "after" pic you can see it hanging on the wall in the right side of the photo.

    No, you don't have a "decent" tweed jacket now. You have a very-handsome-indeed tweed jacket. It looks like it fits you well and "goes" (contrasting or matchy-matchy, your choice ) nicely with that combination.
    I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

    Wow you did a great job of getting a nice-looking curve in the front. So often altered 'Saxon' jackets stand out like a sore thumb due to the front having a sharp angle just below where it buttons.

    There's usually a pesky 2nd buttonhole exactly in the middle of where the new edge needs to be!
