Dale, I fixed the link in your first post. I used my copy of the Tartan design that I have on my photobucket account.

I would also like to make a small correction to the original post in this thread.

I am not the designer of the X Marks Tartan. That honor goes to Mr. Matt Newsome. I am only, by default, the owner of the design. I just want it made clear who it was that actually did the work, and who should get the credit for giving us our beloved Tartan.

The designer of a Tartan and the owner of a Tartan may, and usually are, different people.
In the case of the EOD Warrior Foundation Tartan I am the designer. I was commissioned and paid to do the work. To use my artistic abilities (such as they are) to create a design that was pleasing to the eye of the person who commissioned me to do the work.

Once the design was approved I turned my work over to the owner. He has had the design copyrighted and registered under his name. Dale is the owner, I am the designer.

Thanks Steve. I was just going to post that you had fixed the attachment in the original post.

In so far as whether anyone agrees or disagrees with the so called, "proliferation of tartan," please take it somewhere else. That is not the purpose of this thread; we are here to share a new tartan with others who appreciate it. That sort of thing results in disagreements / arguments, which results in complaints to the moderators, which results in threads being shut down.

Most of us on X-Marks know that the armed services of countries around the world have tartans as do individual regiments, units, even particular specialties. Political jurisdictions like counties and cities have tartans; law enforcement and the fire service have tartans; businesses, families, and even individual persons have tartans. If you are on their mailing list you also know that the Scottish Register of Tartans announces multiple new tartans almost every week. Please be courteous to each other no matter which side of it you are on, we are brethren here.

One final note. Remember that originally, tartans did not represent individual Clans. That came later.

Brilliant! It`s a beautiful tartan and the symbolism of the colors is most meaningful. Great job, congratulations.

That is a very cool tartan design and color scheme. Also, thank you for the work you do. Your bravery keeps us all safe.

Love it! Great design. When I heard of this project through the EOD Warrior Foundation I spread the word far and wide. Hope it brings in orders from all my EOD Brothers and Sisters.
