Glenfiddich and strawberry soda? What do they call that—a Pink Highlander? Sounds absolutely dreadful. While Scotch is an acquired taste for many, I don't think I could ever acquire a taste for that combination.

Back to the Superferry. At a mere 42 million GBP for the boat, they had to cut corners somewhere. It was either the dedicated bar or the life preservers.

"Pink Highlander" - that's pretty good. My friend's tastes have evolved over the years. His favorite whisky now is Dalwhinnie 15 (hold the strawberry soda) - one I like, too, though it's temporarily out of the stable.

Life preservers? Who needs those? A big boat like that couldn't possibly sink, ... could it?
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Your friend's tastes have certainly improved. I'm partial to that malt myself.

Sink? Nah, never. The Titanic was a fluke. The Lusitania was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Costa Concordia suffered a parking mishap. Come to think of it, they all had bars on board. Maybe it's a sign.

I see the new super ferries are not for the Outer Hebrides but the shorter Inner Hebrides Routes.
My motor boat I am about to re-engine with Diesel Electric also, it won't be painted in caly-mac colours, It will have a bar on board Serving Highland Park!

God created the world and all it contains...
But the Hebrides they belong to Macbraynes.
