Great shots, Tenmiles. I can`t believe the lack of snow up there at this time of year. Glad you had good weather, and a good time. It looks like the kilt worked out well for you. BTW, you may have learned that the goats are not native to ONP. They were ill- advisedly introduced back in the 1920`s I think, and have caused much damage to the meadows in the years since. Now they think they own the place!

Yeah, it was really pretty dry up there. Not a speck of snow on this ridge. I wouldn't have minded some, truly; I just didn't want to deal with an icy, technical traverse along the top (with a grossly overweight pack).

The lakes were all still darn cold, none the less.


I did recently learn that the goats were non-native, but that doesn't mean I'd be any less willing to concede ground to them.

Well, heck, next time you're going to visit PA, shoot me a pm and maybe we can go grab a pint and a burger.

I don't travel out of state very often, but my company's corporate office is in PA (I work in California), so there's always a chance I might land out there one of these days!
