I loved Galway. One of the coolest cities I have ever been to.

When we were in Galway, we stayed in a B&B across the bridge in Claddagh (yes like the ring) and just ventured all over the place. On our first night, we went to a local restaurant, and got a waiter from BC. That same night, we got a wee bit tipsy and named our future children. Our son didn't end up as Liam, but our daughter has the name from then.

A great city not to be missed. You can even make it home based for the cliffs of moher, the aran islands, the burren, etc.

We spent most of the day there, from about 11am to 4pm. I definitely preferred Dun Aengus to the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands were probably my favorite day trip, but it's hard to choose just one.
