That's a pair of great boots you got there, sir! Good choice.
I have one in black to go with my dark tartan colored kilts.

Fabulous looking boots. I follow suit and, depending on the weather, wear Dr Martens or other tallish boots with a utility or traditional kilt. I reserve my hose, flashes, and dress shoes for when I need to be more dressed-up.
Best,
Jonathan

So...I had to get some of these and give them a try. Unfortunately, not for climbing boots - midsole is way too built up for shanks, stirrup barely reaches the other side

Desert Boots
I've thought of wearing my desert boots from DS. Think they would look good with a desert or dark brown utility kilt.

I wear mine all the time when I wear a utility kilt. I have at least five sets of boots, and they're my go-to footwear.

Tobus, great boots and your execution with or without the gaiters looks great. I have a discontinued model of Corcorans (4500 desert jump boot) and love them. Though they have some seems busting that would indicate to me that the quality may be slipping. They are off for repair to Role Club for some custom stacked leather and honey vibram soles. I wear them primarily with selvage denim. My Red Wing Iron rangers in amber harness leather have taken a spit shine very well and infact wore them last night with my Leatherneck Tartan and black safari shirt. The deep brown leathers look nice in my opinion with the Leatherneck. I would in a heart beat wear your Corcorans as well, though, I may be tempted to cut them down to 7".

Just checked out the web site for Corcoran and surprise - they're having a sale. Looks like about 1/3 off on everything. Can't beat a deal like that.

Fun topic. I have pair of black Corcoran jump boots, and was also considering seeing how they look under a kilt.
