A quick question Richard,
The pleats seem to be a little out of whack. Was this just how is was stored prior to wearing (ie straight out of delivery) or something else?
I love the tartan. It's nice and crisp looking and goes great with the 2 cute dogs.
Enjoy your new kilt.

This was 1 day out of delivery and I think some of that is my fault...actually most of it! The measurments I gave Rocky were my "standard" pants measurement. In the Philabeg's there is a little give room (I call it the forgivness factor) but I forgot about the straps on the 'traditional'. The bottom strap is alittle tight on me so it is pulling off center a little. I looked at the 'original' picture and this is where it looks off the most. This is the area where the 'tack down' pleats have ended and the 'swing area' is. I hope in a few weeks it will fit better. Yes, I have started back on the diet (the Dr. has given me the 3rd degree evertime I go in...along with my wife!) So the kilt has given me some extra motivation!
Thanks for the comments on the Scottish Terrors! Looks are deceiving aren't the?

After my post yesterday, I wanted to see if having the kilt all packaged up would affect the pleats on my 8 yard PV kilt. I had my 8 yard in a ball in my truck , as I am taking it to Bear this week for a length issue. I threw it on and still had perfect pleats. This kilt is also a bit small in the waist, as I ordered it when I was hitting the gym quite a bit, and I have not been able to since moving. So the stretch wasn't a factor either. Could be the buckles.
The look of a dog can sure be deceiving, my folks have a black lab/corgy mix that looks like a cuddly old dog. Yet the minute you come near he tries to take your arm off. I figure it's short dog syndrome.
