I think I snagged the Lamont tartan somewhere (hmmm is that the one with beveled edges???) and laid the clan crest over it. Not real tough, else I would not have managed it!

Sorry Mike,
No prizes for such a fast conversion.
Only the knowledge you are headed down a wonderful
path.
You thoughts on Single malt have brought to mind my recent visit to the Glenlivet Distillery.
I will start another thread on that in the off topic
section so I don't highjack your thread.
I have to agree the apple juice is a horrible trick
and it's not even Halloween yet.

Well, if that is the case, if you need me I will be over here in the corner, throwing a terrible tantrum, kicking and flailing about on the floor.
Seems as if you could have thought it over a wee bit...
Have a GREAT day!
Peace,
Mike

Mike, Hello.
If I might suggest Ardbeg 10 year old or 17 if you can get it.It really is a cool whisky.
As far as kilting goes you will no doubt while waiting go to nearly every kilt site you can find. That is also a part of the addiction.
When your kilt comes you'll be entering another better world. I purchased mine for best. However this site /and the people on it I have begun to wear it a lot more.
So welcome and enjoy yourself.
All the best......David

Tonight I am nosing The Glenlivet, a 12-year. I know that Michael Jackson (no, not that one) ranks The Glenlivet higher, yet I believe I enjoy my 10-year Speyburn more. To each his own, I suppose. Slainte!
The problem with any number ranking is that every whisky drinkers palate is different, I too prefer the Speyburn to the Glenlivet. There is a wonderful book calledWHISKY CLASSIFIED, it lists single malts not by ranking but by flavour. Like a particular whisky? Try others that are in the same flavour group or use it like I do, to find out more info on any whisky i find on the shelf.

Well, I am slumming again tonight, sipping The Glenlivet. I have found that there are few people that are aware of the Speyburn. I can get it at a local pharamacy for $19.95!! My kinda single malt, ye ken?
Here, let me poor you a dram of your liking. We need to party. I just ordered a Black Watch Philabeg from Rocky!!
Step #1 has been taken. HALLELUJAH!!
Peace,
Mike
