Hey Will, don't know if it helps, I just posted a write up on my CADPAT Freedom Kilt compared to the UK Workman's in the non-Traditional Kilt section.

I went with camo FKs, should be pics in my gallery and in the FK gallery here.

I don't own a mocker yet, but I really really really like my two Freedom Kilts. I'm amazed at the hidden pockets...like pant pockets between the pleats.

And Steve let me customize the pockets on my FKs...

Big difference in pleat size in FK's favor.

I made my decision when I visited Steve's operations in Victoria. He showed me a bale of the coffee brown fabric, I liked the color, and the material was sturdy/heavy/thick. Believe me, the 8oz poly/cotton is plenty thick.
