I looked up the music. The story is great, but with the soundtrack, IT IS [expliclative] AWESOME!
I grovel before you Jamie, so great is thine literary finesse.

Absolutely brilliant Jamie! I love O Fortuna from Carmina Burana! An inspired choice of music for the occasion.

"Wayward Mr. Splash" ????? I will have you know that I KNEW where I was the entire time! (wait, hmmmm, where am I??)
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Quite right - we Ensigns ALWAYS know where we are at any moment in time. There may be rare occasions when we don't know where we are in relation to somewhere else but clearly where we are is where we are!

Amazing Find!!!!!
A Rare glimpse of the original dust jacket from this Victorian Tale of Horror...

One of the interior color plates illustrating an exciting moment from the story as our hero battles the foe with the help of his handsomely thin aviatrix...

Finally could this be a possible lost fragment from the actual record... documenting the demise of the Maple Leaf?
