Panache needs our prayers

I have followed Jamie's ordeal without public comment to date, only my own prayers along with yours.

Now I wish to say that I am quite happy at the news of his imminent return home on the morrow. Now the real healing and convalescence begins. Having been in similar circumstances, let me say that it is likely Star who has had it the toughest and who is most in need of our continued prayers. Jamie has top-nothc doctors and techs; Star has to shoulder the burden of caring for him and the children. I have and do pray particularly for her.

I am proud to be part of this group, to "know" people of such high calibre, and to have some hope of similar prayers on my behalf should the need arise.

I concur with TheScot, we all should add extra effort to our prayers for Star. Working, family, and an impatient patient can be very hard on a person. Hopefully, the NorCal Rabble will stop by occasional and keep Jamie entertained so Star can have a break. Even grocery shopping, knowing that there is some with Jamie can be relaxing.

Jamie these are not baby sitters, but people that Star can trust "in case." "In Case" what, we know nothing will happen, but we all would worry about a recovering spouse being alone until their Doctors fully clear them.

Star I am sorry than I am on the other side of the country and can not be of more than moral and prayer support.

Although he wasn't (yet) kilted when I got there this morning: He was taking a shower.

Yup, that's what I said. He's up and walking around, and very much himself. It's truly a wonderful thing! And as has already been mentioned by others, do keep those good vibes coming to him AND to Star.

EDITED TO ADD: At this rate, by about this time next week he's going to be doing pushups and pullups. . .

Dale, thank you for the photo and update. This is all such wonderful news.

As a former caregiver, I have to chime in on the message to Star: take care of yourself as well, and accept all the useful help that's offered!

Thanks for the great photo Dale. For a man who nearly met his maker a week ago, Jamie looks marvelous. Positive thoughts still being sent for the next step to full recovery

Awesome picture.. and he looks great for what he has been through.. Star's smile says it all to me though - that is one very happy and thankful wife.. I am so happy for the both of them.
