I decided to get rid of the beard. I was missing being able to be clean shaven some of the time. I just don't think I'm right for a beard other than a stubble beard, so I can switch back and forth between the two looks. At one point in the extraction, I did have mutten chops just to see what that was like. So now I know, and I don't have to worry about it.
To top off the evening, I ate the last oatmeal cookie. I put both honey and marmalade on it. That was good.
There is a big wind storm coming in. The wind storms make me nervous because of my little cottage. I've already had to nail a window cover back up. Everything will be fine, it just sounds bad from inside the cottage.
It started raining a little while ago. It's about 11:30 PM here. The rain is coming down very hard which is very loud on the roof of my aluminum cottage. Kind of crazy out there. All the cats are back here in the bedroom, but they aren't fighting yet. One cat is sitting in my lap. Guess he's a scaredy -cat. They were acting weird all day, so I figured some kind of weather was coming.
The rain is a bit lighter now and it doesn't sound like going through the spinning things at a automatic car wash any more. The garlic will be watered for another week now.

The rain is very light at this point: stopping at times. Guess I don't have to sit here like a horse spooking in place anymore. Kind of nice not to have that beard now that I can compare... There will be a new round of weeds to pull after this rain.
I made it through the night, but I had an allergy headache when I woke up. That usually happens just before the rain. That's the way it goes. I took my allergy medicine, and that makes me a little sleepy usually. It will be a slow day.

Guess I'll probably start cooking with those pork chops today. Things are a little bit back on track.
Mrs. Marmalade sent me an Email saying she is feeling better today, but also that they will be having a pit firing down at ceramics, and that I should make something. Guess it's time to hall a bunch of stuff down there again to be fired. I will also be making several cartoon-like tigers for a Jr High school over in a nearby city. They would be holding books or basket balls and so on.
It will be good to do a little digging now that it has rained. Need to dig a shallow trench for a rosmary hedge I plan to put in one of these days. I need to go buy fertalizer for the citrus trees sometime this month, and get them fed.

Tortillas can be fun. Both the corn and the flour tortillas. Guess the flour ones can be messy... The masa for the corn ones doesn't float all over the place through the air though. Hope you have fun, String.

In a bit here, I'll start working on the pork and rice for my meal today. There aren't any cookies left, but I have been eating dry oatmeal while reading the threads.
I'm still not going to post in that kilt hose thread. I don't think I would be adding anything. I'll have to look for some more of those extra, extra, thick, knee high socks I found at JC Penny. I like those with my canvas casual look. I still like the nice thick woolly lamb leg hose, and will need to get around to getting some different colors. Brown for that suit I'm putting together. Probably some flashes too. I try to take my time and make sure what I'm going to get is exactly what I want and need. My cream colored, woolly lamb legs will do for now, and I have to be so, so careful about which colors I wear...
BTW, I ended up being able to get all of my kilt accessories into one drawer of the dresser, and I will use the rest for my other clothing. Perhaps even part of my shoe collection.

That's good.
Poof! the whole kitchen is white with flour, te he. It's not that bad. Kentucky corn flour is expencive...? Out here it's probably a lot more in demand, but I don't know. I wonder if you have to pay big bucks for red chillis and so on compared to out here.
Good luck with your tortillas, String. MMMM, fresh warm tortillas with butter.

My pork and rice meal is done now. I have several pork chops in that package, so I didn't put any citrus peals in the dish for the furst round in the experiment. I also was able to dig that trench or rather break up the ground to work some compost down in there. I need to finnish rearanging the things in my little cottage today, as well. It's bad for me to have things stacked up in the middle of the kitchen.

For the pork, red chili powder or something like that would be a nice start. I think the citrus peal can be worked into the dish, but I'll have to try it before I know.
I'm still trying to figure out where to put the stuff in the middle of the kitchen. That desk kind of is shaped like a small upright piano, and i need to fit it against a wall. The only place it can go is taken up by an old torn up chair. The chair is more for the cats to scratch on than anything else, so I might put it in the bedroom for them to scratch on instead of everything else they can get at in the bedroom.
I see the hose thread goes on... It's pretty clear to me where my place is, so that's good. Alan did start a new thread kind of about String's hose, and I posted in that one, but not about hose. I have my own hose thread on gardening hose, but I'm holding off on posting there until I come up with pictures of my extra casual, and garden outfit. I'll try to get them posted in here if that ever happens.
Just remembered that I need to find somewhere to put those grape vine cuttings. I'm trying to get everything into growing beds and out of containers. It's a lot easier to keep everything watered in the summer, but one summer I kept a whole bunch of small trees in one gallon containers and smaller alive through the whole summer. That was much too much to deal with because I had to hand water each of them with a watering jug.
