Was wondering who was getting my winter for the last week - clear and mid 30s to upper 60s F today in New Mexico. No rush to get my Scottish Wildcat tartan kilt done - will be a few moons before its cool enough to wear...

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Not sure what the weather in NM is usually. But the next couple days here in western PA are forecasting lows of 8 F and 0 F. I can recall a local forecaster stating we wouldn't have any more lows as cold as it was in January this winter and these will be colder. I'm glad opening day (April 3) is a day game.

The weather here has taken a cold turn, the other day I left my boots in the garage when coming home, next morning I could have put them I my freezer to warm up a bit!

GrainReaper nailed it for metro Chicago
Saturday morning (it was colder before sunrise), +3F, with wind -13F, basically -22C without the wind, -27 wind chill.
Not much snow, "only" dangerous cold on exposed skin, in minutes. 'Supposed to be same but a little less bad, Sunday and then "warm up" to freezing on Monday.

500 miles to the south east I'd 100% agree with Jock.

Cold and foggy, 20F as I drove to work this morning. Ice crystals settling out of the fog onto the roads made for an interesting drive.

Minus 25C this morning with a wind chill of -37C. Bright and sunny as only the coldest days of winter can be. If I venture out, it likely won't be in a kilt.

Raining here.
Still raining.
It does stop from time to time, but only to give us some hope and the ludicrous thought that it might have really stopped, when in fact it is just getting its breath back for more rain.

Currently cooling my heels in Djibouti for about a week waiting on some transportation. Been in the mid 80's and sunny the whole time. Quite pleasant and a welcome change from how it is normally out here.
