Timing is everything, BTW, I wasn't late, you were early! :P

Whatever. I didn't take any pictures of me on either coach or plane in any case.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I've made up cards with my email (a dump site) address for moments when other folks take my picture. Haven't had a single photo sent in the last year or I would have posted more here. There is still hope as the challenge continues.

Well Tarheel as that approach doesn't seem to be working for you; why not just ask them to take your photo with your camera or smart phone?

Somewhere around here I have a bluetooth shutter release for my phone and a small lightweight tripod.

Nearly all my photos are taken using the self timer on compact cameras, occasionally the remote release on my DSLR. In the same way that it took me along time to graduate from film to digital, selfie sticks are designed to work with phones not cameras and I'm not yet convinced that I'll get better results from a phone, though I have to admit some of the pictures I've seen on smart phones look good on the phone screen, but I don't know how they translate to larger screens or prints.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Its been eight long days since this challenge was posted. Any thoughts or ideas? I am kilted up with nowhere to go!
Si Deus, quis contra? Spence and Brown on my mother's side, Johnston from my father, proud member of Clan MacDuff!
