    Hey Dave,
Do you wear your kilt while out and about in Frederick? Since I also live here, we need to meet up sometime. I have found outings in a kilt in Frederick to range from non-event to maybe a couple of comments such as "Oh he's Irish" (I don't bother correcting them, their close enough) to 30 minute conversations about family histories and such. I have never had a bad comment. Have had little kids say, "Why is he wearing a skirt?" which the parents respond saying it is called a kilt, it is what Scottish men wear. Of course here in Frederick, I probably would not wear a solid kilt. It seems that everybody sees a man wearing a plaid kilt, they recognize it as a kilt.

I haven't done much out and about wearing yet. Mostly I've worn the kilt to go somewhere, even if that's going to the office. The times I have it's been pretty much a non-event, although I have gotten the looks. David, Sav has been trying to get a kilt night up in Gettysburg this coming Saturday, the 13th (his thread is in on the Kilt Nights board).
