    Pennsylvania Tartan

Just re-checking - how many of us are interested in getting 4-yd kilts in the Pennsylvania tartan, which weight(s) are people leaning towards, and what's the best way to contact Matt about this?

After spending 39 years in Pennsylvania, I can honestly tell you:

THIS is the real Pennsylvania Tartan.

When will someone (who knows what they're doing, unlike myself!) design a New York State tartan?!

I rather like the Maryland tartan, but it joins a long list of custom order tartans that I am unlikely to get, including St. George, Arsenal Football Club and sadly, Callaghan.

The camo only works for those of us from "Pennsyltucky" Dad always said, "You have Philly on one side, Pittsburgh on the other, and Alabama in the middle.".

All in good fun, please dont delete this post. I was born and raised in PA so I think I'm allowed to poke a little fun.

Seriously though if people are going to get Matt to do 4 yard box pleats in this Tartan, I may be interested depending on the price.

Since this original thread is now about 4 years old, I thought I'd update my info a bit. If anyone is interested in doing a single kilt order, a 4 yard box pleated kilt for an average sized man will be $495. This is for heavy weight, 100% new worsted wool, woven in Scotland.

I can also provide standard 8 yard knife pleated kilts, as well as "casual" kilts made from custom tartans, as well as sell the cloth by the yard. Just contact me for info.

Blue and gold, I would guess. Maybe mix in a lighter blue for the bluebird (official bird) and some sort of red for the rose (official flower)?

Did anyone on the board have a kilt made in the PA tartan? Pics would be great. It is a good looking tartan, and I am from PA. Too bad they didn't make it official.
