I apologize in advance for my continued noob-isms...
I recently received my SW shadow black HW...
I still have not made the first move to wear it out in public...
I am considering wearing it this weekend for my bachelor party, but it will be strictly casual...
I am limited in my choices for footwear and socks, and am looking for suggestions. I may wear an Irish rugby jersey along with it, so I need help with my sock/shoe selection. Perhaps my Dr Marten boots (10 eyelet, I believe)? Kilt or rigby hose rolled/pushed down?
TIA,
KL

If it helps
If it helps and since I am going, we can make it a kilt night. my lovely wife just helped pick out a shirt and the soccer socks I will be wearing (pushed down).
If not we can make it a kilt night at church next sunday.

You could of course have socks knitted to match the pattern of the kilt which is very chic. However these are very expensive (I think the last pair I had made some ten years ago cost over $180) also they are prone to wearing easily in the toe and are thus high maintenance and finally they shrink in the wash unless washed cold. Ok forget this idea

I was in The Highland Store (opposite New Zealand House at the bottom of Lower Regent's Street) yesterday (Saturday) and noticed that they sell Lochgarron kilt hose for £12 a pair - that's about US$23 - in some interesting colours as well as the usual stuff. That seems not a bad price: we pay something similar for decent rugger socks (don't know about soccer socks - never had anything to do with the game).;)
