Hey, Graham, I never thought of getting someone else to do the setting up! Ah, but wait a moment. Where does a private individual find someone to do something like that? I guess perhaps your new site is a spin off from your business and that you had 'trade connections'.

I am serious, and I would pay (within reason) to have my own website. My Photo Album is just one of several provided by IMFF (International Men's Fashion Freedom) - there is no way Nigel could provide me with a website. Only an album.

Taking up my megaphone: "Is there anyone out there, preferably close by in West Sussex, who would like to set me up with a gorgeous website?"

    Have you tried yahoo?

    Hamish,
I am a web developer and would be happy to help you out, however I am not in the UK, but I am sure that we could figure it out. Before we go that far though, have you tried yahoo stuff yet, they allow you to do quite a bit and have made it easy to design things yourself. They have the ability to blog, create pages, and of course put together a gallery for your kilt kollection.

Thank you very much, Keith. No, I have never really given the matter much thought - I always assumed such a thing was beyond me. I mean, I know how to turn my PC on and off, but that's about all!!;.

A couple of years ago, I invested in some software : "Webpage Maker and Design Studio" by Serif, but the instructions are so technically expressed, I felt I was trying to read a foreign language! It was all way over my head so I put it back in its box, and it sits here on a shelf, unloved and unwanted!

I am highjacking Graham's thread with all this (so sorry, Graham). I'll take a look at Yahoo and, if you don't mind, I'll PM you later. Perhaps next week.

Hamish, I don't mind you "hijacking" my thread. I see such discussion as a natural outgrowth of interesting conversation.

My website was done by Jared White who lives in California. He is a celtic musician and has a real feel for celtic design, which was my priority.

It goes to show that you can work with anyone anywhere in the world through the wonders of technology. They don't need to be living near you.
