Kilted....finally!

With 6 (bright red, bottle green, lovat blue, black, yellow and white) colours it's indeed an eye catcher :mrgreen:

For daywear I must stick to "earthy" colours for the rest of the outfit...or I'll look like a walking Christmas tree or like Las Vegas by night

Was a lovely evening...I learned alot.

-How to get seated without sitting on a pile of dying pleats.
-How to ignore people talking about my outfit: rather easy...just ignore them, act natural.
-How to deal with compliments: just smile...and say thanks...don't act too surprised I guess.
-How to react when you enter a crowded restaurant and about 50 people stop talking and turn their heads en masse: Was a bit scary...run the gauntlet, was all I could think off and pretend it's not you they're looking at...worked for me.
-A serviette tends to slide from your lap when you wear a fur sporran :-?
-When someone says: "Hey! no wine for you! drink whisky!" reply: "Shall I order milk for you?"
-Women like kilts.
-Men don't like this.
-Probably will hear the skirt remark till death.
-Same with the "what's under" question.
-In general...I have to learn to live with people looking at me, making remarks (both ways) and asking questions about kilts and tartans.
