Thanks for input Hamish...I definitely plan on seeing htem in April when they get here and they said they would send me a catalog so I can peruse it beforehand. I love the look of the TFCK pinstripe kilts so I'm going to pray that the tax return from Uncle Sam gets here in time so I can afford to buy one....

Wow those 21st century pinstripe kilts really do look nice.
I also really like the idea of a slightly cheaper kilt to kick around in. I gotta say I know you get what you pay for but my one Utilikilt cost more in about 1/2 my wardrobe put together. Unfortuneately I don't think even there biggest size is gonna cut it for me .
Where is that measuring tape .....

Yeah that TFCK looks AMAZING but it just looks way too good to wear while bumming around the city...I'll know how good it looks, feels, and wears when I get it so I'll know if it was worth it...

Well the kilt arrived today and while those in the know will consider it to be more of a "punk" style kilt than a "traditional" it's great, lightweight, and definitely didn't have the big crease in the middle that we saw in the pic. This definitely suits the bill for something light, casual, and perfect for bumming around NYC in the summer....I even dare say that either I've lost more weight than I thought or they put a larger size on there. REgardless, there was still plenty of room on the belt should I go up or down....
In terms of delivery, it took exactly 7 days for it to arrive so I have no complaints from them. They did some very quick service and turnaround to get it out to me so I would recommend them and may get a couple more as the cost is more than reasonable....

Hamish's is definitely far more upscale than what I got...I guess for me is the TFCK pinstripe would be something more formal while the one I got is more of a lightweight summer kilt I can bum round the city in....I don't think that I could bum around the city in that nice TFCK....

The photos I posted of the TFCK kilt/suit show me wearing it only formally or semi-formally (ie: without the jacket). Believe me, I also wear this same kilt in the summer with a polo shirt, folded/rolled down hose and boots. I'd also wear it with a T-shirt, but I no longer seem to suit T-shirts!!
For me that is pretty casual and I'll dress like that to do my weekly supermarket shopping, etc. or visiting friends and neighbours - that's "bumming" about town for me; whatever "bumming" really means

Hmmmm maybe I will have to reconsider then....bumming for me can be anything from just running errands to hanging out with friends to bar hopping to one of my team's rugby matches etc. I dunno there's something that just screams "TOO NICE" abotu your pinstripe to wear in a non-formal atmosphere....but then again maybe it's just me...

646, it's Hamish man! He would like dashing and formal in a potato sack! Mainly because he would accessorize it with the perfect hose, a nice shirt (black I am thinking), a great kilt pin, and a belt to match his shoe, probably Doc Marten's or a chunky, black low rise boot. And there is also his great smile and his poses that just make for the perfect picture.
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long
