That's a correct assumption. Apart from the pleating, the front and back are identical.

That is one fine piece of kilt-work you have there! I expect you will recieve a great many compliments on the newest addition to your kilt collection.

Thanks It's my first kilt, so I can't really make any comparisons, but as far as I can tell it is superb. House of Edgar 13 oz 8yrd, bought through kilt store. I actually have a number of female colleagues who are envious, as they have never owned such a fantastic unbifurbicated piece of clothing...

kiltstore.com? I take it the kilt is one of their 'Balmoral' types, then. How do you like the workmanship? I am seriously contemplating ordering my next tartan kilt from them. They have great prices, and I'd love to hear your ideas on the quality of the kilt!

Dang... then I'm even MORE impressed with this kilt than I was before!

Porrick,
Go here and take a look at the picture at the top of the page:
http://www.jhiggins.net/catalog/customkilts.html
The person in the middle is wearing a kilt pleated to stripe. The person on the right is wearing a kilt pleated to sett. The person on the left is showing the front of either kilt. All three kilts are made of the same tartan, Royal Stewart.

I noticed the last time I followed a link from X-marks that Kiltstore.net had an X-marks discount come up on the page. Can't seem to get it to do that again right now, but it seemed like a fairly decent discount to members here. I may have to use them for a kilt someday.

By the way, back to the topic of Scottishkilts.net, I received a modern Stewart hunting 5 yard heavyweight from them and am completely satisfied. Very nice kilt if a little tight since it is my "diet" kilt.

Try it again; I'm seeing the discount right now.
