Hmm...sounds like things aren't as rosey as we would like. Looks to me that we need to make something about this for next year. A grass roots campaign to ensure that next april 6th does not go unnoticed...

There are a couple of events in Salt Lake & Ogden.

Not worth the drive for me though. I'll just have to make the best of it all by my self.

Like Livingston mentioned, not every Tartan Day event is happening tomorrow.

Here in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix metro area), we got a REAL early jump on things with the Mesa Caledonian Pipe Band hosting its Annual National Tartan Day Gala on March 25, 2006, at the Mesa Marriott in Mesa, Arizona. The festivities began with a no-host cocktail hour and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Why they scheduled this nearly 2 weeks early, I have no idea...

For me, I'll be wearing my Hunting Robertson tank to work - with pride!

I found this to be a useful website to see what Tartan Day events are happening around the world.

Exclamation What's going on in Raleigh??

Hi, gang! Nothing as far as I know, but like some of the responses day..."you never know..."

I'm going to the weekly potluck supper at my Pipe and Cigar Club in my bran' new Hunting MacNicol tank. I've warned none of the folks there, so this should be a great time to explain some Scottish heritage, get some interest going...

AND TELL ALL OF 'EM ABOUT X MARKS THE SCOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    A post-mortem of the evening's derring-do will be posted.

As far as I know the only thing going on around here will be the occassional kilt worn in Congress and the annual press conference to mark the occassion. Sad state of affairs if you ask me. But most of DC's governmental structure is just too uptight to handle wide-spread kilt wearing.

Tomorrow (the 6th), y'all should CALL IN SICK.

Then, in an area of high visibility and while kilted, carry on some colorful activity of your own choosing.

Some thing slightly irresponsible will get more press.
