About the boots, if I were a Scottish Vampire and was trying to impress Kate Beckinsdale I'm sure I would want to pick up a pair to go with my nightstalker tank and skull sporan.

I'm fairly certain you would have to stand in line with the rest of the masses trying to impress her...

I think the kilt might push him to the front of the line.

...you know that I don't want to burst your bubble but my daughter and i saw those boots at a Hot Topic at the mall and I'm pretty sure that they're in the womens' department....of course an argument could be made for "unisex"...but we have been considering them as an accessory for my daughter's grammar school graduation....

...plenty of motocross boots that are somewhat similar and in mens' sizes.

About the OP's boot suggestion... look decent. WAAAY too tall for my liking.

About the two pairs of H-D boots... I dig the second pair.

About the Oakley boots... the wife would have my head, because I'd have to get them in black AND sand.

As for my pick... oh yeah... you can't beat the Red Wing Boots. I actually rock these quite often when I wear my camo kilts. I don't have the opportunity to wear my kilts daily, but I do have the opportunity to wear these boots daily. I sprung for the zip up fastener, though, so no laces on mine.

If those boots are from Hot Topic..DO Not Buy Them!

My brother bought a pair of boots from hot topic to wear with his kilt, and after two days they looked like they were six months old...very worn. They also were unable to return them except for store credit.

Kilted KT: ...yeah...I have noticed that the Hot Topic stuff isn't - how you say? - top quality. They do a crashing business with the "young people" hereabouts...mostly on t-shirts with bands' (of the musical variety, let me be clear) logos on them. I get a kick out of the place because once when i got dragged in there they had a Doors album on the store stereo and I got to tell the kid that managed the store, "...hey...this is great...I saw these guys LIVE!" Stunned silence......

BLAZN: I almost forget about Red Wing! You are correct in that they do put out a truly decent product. I had a pair during college and they wore like iron. I'm buying Vasque hiking boots now (Merrills got too fancy and expensive and Asolo doesn't fit my feet) and Vasque is essentially the same company as Red Wing...and there's a Red Wing store about ten or twelve blocks down the main street from me. Good idea!

Man, those look like "Drowning Boots" to me.

    Stay away from water.

Would take a pair of strong lungs to tread water in them while unbuckling x10, unlacing and unzipping them.
