No, The unwritten but well known general rule is...
Women wear whatever they want to... that would include utilikilts.
The only fashion boundaries are what they set for themselves.

"Freedom to choose what we want to wear"....that's gender neutral in my mind. (In others I hope as well.)
You are entitled to your opinion and I'll respect it but not agree with it.

It may be gender nuetral, but a lot of women seem to have the attitude, What's mine is mine, what's yours is ours. Just try entering a women's bowling tournament. The women compete in the men's tournament, but men aren't allowed in women's tournaments. Same situation with "Anika" and the PGA.

Exactly. Whether we like it or not, they're going to wear what they please. Which means that the unenlightened masses will think we're wearing s___t's. Double-edged sword... But, I'm to the point where I just don't care much anymore. As long as they aren't wearing 8-10 yard traditional tanks, I'm fine with it. Otherwise, they may hear the word c____d_____r come out of my mouth.

Precisely. And Men let their boundries be set by everyone else, and they are afraid to cross them. How manly is that?
Women wear what they want.
Sadly, Men wear what they are told to wear.

The first Utilikilt I ever saw (black Workmans) was being worn by a woman, and she looked FABULOUS. I wanted to look fabulous too. 21 kilts later..........
I've kilt for less.

Things that make you go hmmm ...
Seems this topic was flogged previously but there is no horse so dead it can't be beat some more ...
Raphael said it most eloquently but I add "almost any kilt" to that, depending on the girl/woman/person.
Heck my friend Trav looks good in my beat-up old work jeans, she has my T-shirt from Aftershock in SF, and my favorite boxers from Quebec. Complaints? none other than I want the boxers back.
MY friends Die-Anna and her Mom made it to Kilt Night last week in short SKs, all the girls serving (well except for two) had matching SKs, one lass showed up with her man and she had the audacity to look better in her UK than he (my opinion, your smilage may vary ...).
It's not the clothes that make the man, it's the man in the clothes.
CT - and I'll wear what I want.

Had an opportunity today to stop a strikingly good looking young lady in a (very short) Utilikilt and ask her thoughts about this ongoing discourse. Her response, if I recall correctly, was: "They can shove it."

If it's too small to see in the photo, her shirt reads "32nd U.S. Invitational Heavy Events Championship." This is one of the women Riverkilt warned you about.

Just a first impression but that might be one of the women your father should have warned you about, if it is not already too late.

I think that all it will take is a few women walking the streets in Utilikilts for most men to NEVER want to wear a Utilikilt in public.

I was just making the same remark today. I was at the Pleasanton Games tons of female type in kilts some mini's some traditional, some Utilikilts. I do wish kilts would be mens' alone. Maybe we should form a kilt sinn fein.
And yet there are many women that look really hot in a kilt! Ah well life is so complicated
