    Smile Age

    Hi all,

I began to wear a kilt last year at 58. I would have prefered much younger but It's never too late to begin.

    About 26 or so.

I can't really remember the exact age. I was in my 20's. My wife encouraged me and I did it. I have not stopped since then. I'm 60 now.

Started wearing one to special occasions (read weddings) when I was under 10. Getting my first kilt this year. Now 29.

I first wore one about a year and a half ago, for National Tartan Day in 2005, so I was 44 at the time.

I had always thought about getting a kilt, but the price tag for a traditional always made me stop. I finally decided I was making enough to get a cheap one. Now I have five traditional kilts and several cheaper ones.

I was 34 but had wanted one ever since I attended St Andrews University at the age of 19.

Even then it was due a generous friend who had got a new kilt and gave his older one to me as it fitted.

These days I am fortunate enough to buy my own!

First time was when I was 9 or 10, at school in Scotland (special occasion). I hated it. Funny how things change.

First time I wore a kilt and really started to enjoy it was around 19 at university in England.

55, just a couple of months ago, but I'm loving it. Got one, working on two more and hope to wear them to work at least once in a while.
I wish it had been a lot sooner

41--too old, as I should have started years before. I had wanted to try it for I don't know how long. Finally got into it after meeting fellow veterans in the Scottish American Military Society.

26 (this year) for my wedding (July.) I'm now up to seven kilts. They multiply like bunnies!
