I first wore one about a year and a half ago, for National Tartan Day in 2005, so I was 44 at the time.
I had always thought about getting a kilt, but the price tag for a traditional always made me stop. I finally decided I was making enough to get a cheap one. Now I have five traditional kilts and several cheaper ones.

55, just a couple of months ago, but I'm loving it. Got one, working on two more and hope to wear them to work at least once in a while.

41--too old, as I should have started years before. I had wanted to try it for I don't know how long. Finally got into it after meeting fellow veterans in the Scottish American Military Society.
