Gillette Sensor Three and a canned gel foam with aloe or other exotic skin conditioners. Neck and high cheeks only of course....

    Hi Guys,
well I've tried 'em all....triple bladers, twin bladers, single bladers, electric, vibrating twins etcetcetc....
Eventually I went back to basics. Shaving stick type soap, badger hair shaving brush, hot water, and a 'safety' cut throat razor. Best shave I've ever had.
    1. It's cheap. I get about 50 shaves for £1.20 ish.
    2. It's safe (the cut throat takes 'wilkinson sword' safety blades, which are MUCH sharper than any twin or triple blade...But it can only cut a couple of mm deep if you have an accident.
    3. It takes a single swipe to shave, unlike every other razor I've ever tried (hacking away at the face untill it's sore and STILL a bit stubbly).
    3. I recommended this shave to a spotty teen at work. Within weeks his face had cleared up.
    4. No soreness, redness, or rash. Probably because you are carressing the surface of your skin with an immensely sharp blade, rather than hacking away with a bluntish (in comparison) one.
Badger hair brushes are available off ebay cheap. I got one for £10, whereas in shops you'll pay at least £20 odd.
The cut throats are about £6 on ebay.
Blades are about £1.20 for 5 (and I get about 10 shaves off each blade).
Stick soap, around 1.50 or so, lasts for ages....
Shaving is a pleasure, due in part to the imagined macho-ness of the cut throat design. If it was a REAL cut throat it might be more scary....

    Jeff.

Wet razor under running water and shave. (I don't have tender skin... )

Normally, a beard trimmer with either a #2 or a #3 trimming guide. On the neck and under the jaw, a zero fade, as well as the upper cheeks. Lately, I've just trimmed it by hand, with scissors. Yep, got a fuzzy face. Goes well with the almost waist-length reddish-brown hair.

Every once in a while, I try a goatee out, but usually wind up being fully forested.

For those that are unfamiliar with Dettol, think Lysol.
