OK, I just got off thephone with Rocky and I will be in Phoenixville next Monday arund lunch time. I figure I can make it by 1:00 or thereabouts. So anybody interested in lunch, chime in. I will be calling Rocky when I get on the road so possibly he can drop a note on here with a better projected time.
And I am thinking about stopping in Reston for dinner. Any DC kilties up for dinner? I plan on making it to Richmond still Monday, so I can't spend the night drinking with all you carousers, but would enjoy dinner.
Now, what kilt should I wear to meet Rocky? I'm thinking a USAK casual might be a bit light for the temps...

Do you have your Southern route firmed up? There are still a lot of kilts between VA and FL but they may be a bit further West than I-95 if that's the route you are taking back to Florida. Come down thru Atlanta on I-85 or I-985 and you're in my area.

Cavscout,
I would love to, but I think that work is going to prevent it this time, I plan on a long day Tuesday and make it from Richmond to Tampa in one shot down I-95 then across FL on I-4. If I went over to Atlanta and down I-75, I don't think I could make it in one day. For a coupe reasons:
1. I would stop in Raleigh and see friends from when we lived there for 6 years
2. Given the route, I would feel obliged to stop in Greenville and see Dreadbelly and others in that area
3. Since I would be so close, I would want to swing up to Franklin to see Matt and the Tartans museum
4. Finally, I would want to spend at least a few hours in Atlanta with the contingent there.
With all that, I would be lucky to get home by Friday! If I were not working, I could take the time (and not married with 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 4 cats too!), but as it is I have to push on.
However, Atlanta is only a 7 hours trip, so you guys are do-able for a long weekend. I already am making plans for the Grandfather Mountain and Stone Mountain Games. And possibly other trips in between.

Try the Atlanta route. There is a big bunch of us, and in Conyers (east metro Altanta) we have a nice little Celtic Tavern. I can show you where a nice shop might go.
Let us know.

Actually, if you make a stop in Reston, or anywhere else on the west side of DC, I could probably swing down there. I can't say I'm real familiar with the restaurants there though, so someone else will have to make recommendations about that. I've got Monday off, so just let me know when and where and I'll see if I can make it.

If it is at all possible, I'd be glad to meet you along the way. Perhaps we could arrange a special kilt night at McGirk's.
Our regular monthly kilt night in Binghamton is Saturday night. Is that too early in the weekend for you? If so, like Bob C. says, we could meet up with you on Sunday evening or whenever....
