Well, I broke down today and invested $1300.00 in a "Tippmann BOSS". It will sew through 3/4" of leather with ease, like it isn't even there. It is hand operated and obviously doesn't have an electric motor so there is nothing to break down or require electricity so I can take it anywhere and it will do the job, even on the top of a mountain or to the ren-faire.

I plan on making my own sporrans, belts and whatever from quality leather and making repairs to anything that needs repairs. I do NOT plan on going into the sporran making business but for a hobby I will consider making someones dream sporran if anyone has anything in mind and has plans drawn on paper.

I purchased a grinder stand and the machine fits perfectly on top of it and there's plenty of stability for leverage and of course i can always locate it on the workbench in the garage.

I'm definately open to suggestions on what I can do with this new machine, (I mean besides 'shoving it'.) Any ideas?

Chris.
