    It's good to know about the large sett versus 5-yard issue. If/when I get a 5-yarder I'll reserve one the smaller sett tartans, like a weathered or ancient Gordon. And I have to respectfully disagree with Panache here - I like the effect of the hose up with sandals. I remember it from your first snow thread.

    Fantastic pics, Phil...you know I'm not (personally) a huge fan of "bright" tartans but as usual you make looking good in a kilt seem effortless.

    How is the 5 yard kilt from Scottish kilts? Doe sit have the reverse pleat on the right hand side?

    I have a 5 yarder on the way.
