Just because it has a Lochcarron label, it does not mean that it was made by them, they might have supplied the Material to the kiltmaker who made kilt. If you have worn the kilt for 15years & have been happy with it, I dont see the problem

    AAACCKKKKK!!! Kilt Police! Kilt Police!

I'm with Cacunn. Do you like the kilt? If you do, ignore the kilt cop.

Thanks for all the replies. Wow. Well, this is what I've deduced:
    1. The kilt material is Lochcarron, the kilt was NOT made by them as I was told.
    2. Although a "decently" made kilt, it is not top quality as it was represented to be and what I paid for.
    3. I've learned ALOT about kilts with this thread.
    4. Whether or not I "enjoy" the kilt was never a questions. Again, it was acquiring the knowledge of what is "quality" especially when you're paying what I paid even 15 years ago. If you paid $60,000. for a Porshe and found out it was really a Ford Fiat you would want the knowledge to keep this from happening again.
As I've said, I've had a few kilts over the years, but this was supposed to be my Porshe. I have this kilt, a 4yd. clan kilt, and 2 kilts from my pipe band.

I've learned quite a bit in this thread. Thank you all for that. And I understand cajuncelt's sentiments about not doubting the enjoyment of the kilt, just a searc for deeper knowledge.
    Great stuff!
