Women seem to like kilts, once they realize you are not wearing to compete with them, but for heritage and comfort.
My wife, who is German/American Indian was entusiastic from the start. I even get accessories as birthday gifts. God love her.

Oooh she can be mean when she is riled.
Your wife is sweet, angelic and uber innocent. *nods lots*

Yes... Yes she is. Just like that night in the hospital.
I dunno... When she gets mad, her eyes turn greener. I think she is were-Irish or something.

LOL then don't get around me when I'm mad.... my eyes actually turn silver
And guys, if your wife doesn't approve, ask her how she would feel if you dictated to her what she could wear in public. Womens lib works both ways... oh Kilt Lib... there ya go

My wife wasn't thrilled about my kilt wearing in the beginning. True I don't wear a kilt as often as I wish I could, but it's even harder when your own wife is against it on an occassion that would be perfect for the kilt. We even went so far as to make up rules. I wouldn't wear the kilt with her, so if I had the day a, and decided to wear a kilt I wouldn't pick her up and drive her home from work like I often did. She'd take the train.
Of course there would always be times when I'd get to wear a kilt with her, and it was all the positive reactions and comments I received from people that started to win her over. Now she helps me coordinate my outfits, and even encouraged me to order an 8 yrd tank.
Overtime you'll win her over gradually. She just needs to get comfortable with the whole thing.

Wife loves it. I think she really likes the positive comments that other women give me. After all, she's the one married to this kilted hunk! Really, wait and see. She might find a good reason to like it too.

I guess I'm lucky. I wife likes it when I wear my kilt and she says that it is very handsome. Here is a typical response I get from her while I'm kilted...

In my opinion I think a woman should be proud to have a mad whose heritage runs deep and is comfortable and confident enough to wear his kilt out with her .Maybe if she dressed to match then she would feel more comfortable. but this is just my opinion.

I count myself among the lucky rabble. My wife has accepted my wearing kilts, and has even commented on how tall I look. I think she also likes the comments from the ladies. She has nothing to worry about. We are coming up on 39 years together this August. Would not trade her for anyone else!

I tell my husband the same thing, but he just won't wear them enough!
