There probably are, Kismet. The first Utilikilts were pleated virtually all the way round. They were not wrap-arounds but were a step-in design with a zip fly, and were known as the 'Standard' style, as opposed to the current 'Neo-Traditional'.
This was my first Utilikilt - a now very much faded (it was originally Caramel in colour) Workmans 'Standard' model which has the zip fly.

The two snaps at centre front are not fastening snaps but are part of the 'modesty snap' arrangement which, in my experience, never worked very effectively!

Raking in the money
At last!
The secret has been revealed.
We now know just how Hamish earned enough money to pay for his 77 kilts ...
Obviously a head-working -- and deserving -- lad.
All that hard labour has been well rewarded.

Of course, if I wore something like that, I'd be more worried that the bats might get me... More so than what people might think.
Just wait till you see the size of the gosh darn bats!
